A Florida man who shares part of his name with a famous NBA star was arrested late last month after police said he crashed a car, stole a man's wheelchair and got into a chase with officers.
Shaquille O'Neal Clemons, 21, was being pursued by officers on Oct. 25 in Largo when he sideswiped a vehicle and school bus while in his car and crashed, WFLA reports. He got out of the car and stumbled over to Robert Druce, who offered Clemons his wheelchair.
"(I) saw the big wreck and then saw a guy helping a guy out of the car. His leg was broken or something. He fell down in the street, and I let him sit on my chair so he could drive up to the front by the store, so he could sit down on the sidewalk and not be laying in the street," Druce told WFLA. "All of a sudden, I'm chasing my chair down the street."

Police said Clemons tried to escape officers in the wheelchair, but was stopped a few blocks from the crash. One of the people involved in the crash was critically injured, police added.
Clemons was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended or revoked license, reckless driving with property damage and injury and leaving the scene of a crash with property damage and injury. He also has no relation to the retired NBA star.
