Three metro Atlanta police departments are working together to try to catch the same suspect, who they believe robbed a trio of cellphone stores at gunpoint.
Atlanta, Cobb County and East Point police believe one man ties all three crimes together, Channel 2 Action News reported.
“We do believe at some point or somehow all these cases are connected,” East Point Sgt. Ebony Bullock told Channel 2.
The first robbery was on January 4 at an AT&T store off Piedmont Road in northeast Atlanta, according to a police incident report obtained by AJC.com.

Surveillance video shows the suspect force an employee into a back room and demand iPhones. He allegedly got away with about 30 cellphones, according to the report.
On May 18, the same suspect is accused of robbing a T-Mobile store near Marietta, Channel 2 reported. Surveillance cameras also allegedly caught him during the act.

The most recent robbery was May 25 at a T-Mobile store off Cleveland Avenue, Bullock said. This incident happened before noon with a different suspect walking through the door with a gun drawn, stealing more than 20 iPhones.

While the suspect who committed the East Point robbery is believed to be a different person, Bullock told Channel 2 the getaway car is likely the same as the one used in the Cobb robbery.
“They’ve shown a pattern that they haven’t stopped just yet, so yes, it is a possibility that they could strike somewhere else in the metro Atlanta area,” she said.
