A man accused of getting in a shootout with police during an armed robbery in May 2016 removed his ankle monitor and is on the run, police said.

Israel Bland, 25, of Lawrenceville, was released on a $5,700 bond on Feb. 10, Gwinnett County Jail records show. However, he allegedly removed his ankle monitor and fled Saturday, Gwinnett police said in a news release.

Police said Bland, along with three other suspects, attempted to rob a home on Cannonball Court in unincorporated Lawrenceville in 2016, which led to a shootout with police, the release said.
