A protester with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, or PETA, was arrested Tuesday night at Orlando International Airport after dressing as a killer whale and encouraging tourists not to go to SeaWorld, according to PETA.
The protester was arrested and charged with misdemeanor trespass and taken to the Orange County Jail, PETA said.
Photos show two protesters dressed as orcas standing on top of baggage carousels holding signs that say “Orcas deserve better,” and “SeaWorld hurts orcas.”

"PETA's protester may have to spend a night in a jail cell, but that's nothing compared to the lifelong imprisonment of orcas at SeaWorld, who are without freedom, family, or anything else that's natural and important to them," said PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman in an email to WFTV. "Nobody with a heart should ever buy a ticket to SeaWorld, not during the holidays or any other time of the year."
The email mentioned Unna, a 20-year-old killer whale at SeaWorld San Antonio that died Monday.
Unna was born at SeaWorld Orlando.
PETA said the protester arrested was Bryan Wilson of Winter Springs, Florida.
