One of two men Fulton County police identified as persons of interest in a Fourth of July night shooting that killed a 16-year-old College Park girl has been cleared after speaking with investigators.
Curtis Cohen, 35, of Morrow, “has been interviewed and is no longer a person of interest,” Fulton police Lt. Scott McBride said late Monday in an emailed statement.
McBride said police are still looking for 23-year-old Marcel Smith, who has also been identified as a person of interest in the shooting death of Rasheedah Evans.
“We are still attempting to interview Mr. Smith,” McBride said in the email.
Evans was inside her home in College Park, watching a movie on her tablet, when she was hit by a bullet that police believe may have been fired during celebratory gunfire.
