A 57-year-old man faces three felony sexual assault charges after allegedly raping a girl, authorities said.

Timothy Wayne Bennett, of Rossville, was arrested Tuesday, the Walker County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. He faces charges of rape, aggravated child molestation and aggravated sodomy.

He’s accused of sexually abusing the child in 2015 and 2016. Sheriff Steve Wilson told AJC.com that investigators know of only one victim, and Bennett’s relationship to her was not provided.

Bennett remains in the Walker County Detention Center without bond.
