It has been 10 years since Natalee Holloway disappeared while on a senior trip to Aruba.
Now, Holloway’s father has returned to the island to follow up on tips from a new eyewitness who was afraid to come forward before.
Jurrien de Jong told Inside Edition that he saw Holloway on the last night she was alive. He also believes he may know where she is buried.
The new witness claims that he saw Joran van der Sloot chase Holloway into a building that was under construction, then emerge several minutes later carrying her body, which he stuffed into a crawl space.
Holloway’s father has teamed up with a private investigator and cadaver dog to follow up on the latest lead.
De Jong says he didn’t come forward sooner because he was involved with illegal activities at the time of the incident.
The Aruba prosecutor says they will launch an investigation based on the new information.
