A murder suspect turned himself in to authorities after two weeks on the run, according to Henry County Jail records.

Lonnie Dee Reed, 29, allegedly shot Ladell Williams, 33, at least twice on June 15 on Tunis Road in Stockbridge, Henry County police said. Williams later died from his injuries, and police said the two knew each other.

On Friday, Henry County Jail records show Reed turned himself in around 5 p.m., and he faces charges of murder, use of a firearm by a convicted felon during the commission of a crime and driving with a suspended or revoked license. He had been denied bond.

He has a scheduled appearance in Magistrate Court at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Channel 2 Action News reported.
