Authorities in Butts County arrested five people Monday who allegedly were part of a meth-distribution ring that operated in and around metro Atlanta.

About 1 a.m. Monday, deputies searched a residence on Forrest Avenue in Jackson, according to a Facebook post by the Butts County Sheriff’s Office.

Agents found more than six ounces of methamphetamine, a gallon of a date rape drug, multiple quantities of LSD, marijuana, prescription pills and anabolic steroids, according to the post.

William David Carter of Jackson, Anthony Craig Scott of Jackson, Brent Bruce of Riverdale, Victoria Winters of Jackson and Amanda Chambers of Jackson were arrested, according to the post.

“The investigation showed the suspects were distributing methamphetamine throughout Butts, Monroe, Pike, Henry, Clayton and Spalding Counties,” Sheriff Gary Long said in the post.

“Taking down this distribution ring, we have greatly reduced the methamphetamine flow not only throughout our county but many others.”
