Authorities in Cobb and north Fulton counties are looking for a former private school teacher accused of having sex with one student and kissing another.

Christopher Brown, who taught high school physics, chemistry and computer science at Mount Paran Christian School in Kennesaw until he was fired on Oct. 4, is wanted on multiple charges in Marietta and Roswell, Marietta police spokeswoman Officer Brittany Wallace said Friday.

In Marietta, he faces charges of sexual assault by a teacher and influencing a witness. In Roswell, he is wanted on a charge of enticing a child for indecent purposes.

Brown, 37, of Marietta, allegedly had sex with a 17-year-old Mount Paran student in late July. Marietta police learned of that alleged incident from police in Roswell, where Brown is accused of kissing a 15-year-old Roswell High School student, Wallace said.

According to a Roswell arrest warrant, Brown, who is married, met the 15-year-old at a Starbucks on Crossville Road on Sept. 28 and drove her to a nearby park, “where the two kissed.” He was the student’s tutor, police said.

While under investigation in Roswell, Brown allegedly sent a text message to a friend of the 17-year-old Mount Paran student. In the text, Brown asked the friend to contact the girl “to make sure we’re on the same page with our story,” Marietta police Detective Mark Erion said in a warrant.

Marietta police, Roswell police and the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Task Force “are working diligently to locate Brown and take him into custody,” Wallace said.

In a statement, Mount Paran headmaster David Tilley said Brown was terminated “immediately after the school learned that he had committed a violation of the standards of our Christian community.”

The school plans to address the matter during a 4 p.m. press conference.

“The MPCS community pledges continued and full support with legal authorities as this matter is pursued,” Tilley said. “MPCS remains fully committed to a Christ-centered environment that takes very seriously its role in protecting the safety and well-being of all students.”

Anyone with information on Brown’s whereabouts is asked to call Marietta police at 770-794-5335 or an anonymous tip line at 770-794-6990.
