A mother was charged with battery after police said she helped her teen daughter beat up another student at school.

The fight happened last Thursday at Redan High School in DeKalb County, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Video posted on social media shows the mother use a cellphone to hit the girl in the back of her head while other students beat her up, Channel 2 reported.

The injured teen asked not to be identified but told the television station she suffered a concussion and cuts to her head.

“I try to defend myself, but I can’t really handle three people,” she said.

The fight at Redan High School was captured on video.

DeKalb County School District spokesman Andre Riley told Channel 2 the district is aware of the fight and “will never tolerate altercations of any type on its campuses.”

It was the second time this week the district had to address a video showing a school fight involving adults. A teacher and a paraprofessional at Stone Mountain Middle School were removed from the school and charged with disorderly conduct in a public place following a fight Friday that was caught on tape by students.

District officials said Wednesday that Brittany Randolph-Johnson and Milan Etheridge, both 27, will be terminated over the incident.
