Two men who allegedly shot and killed a man during a drug deal four months ago were arrested Thursday, authorities said.

Shavar Darius Dowdell, 36, of College Park, and Quadayous Rashad Ridley, 28, of Jackson, were taken into custody in College Park and Jackson, respectively, after murder warrants were obtained Wednesday, the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

They’re accused of gunning down a fleeing drug customer Aug. 11 after they couldn’t agree on prices, the release said. The victim was shot several times from behind and was found dead by Clayton County police.

Dowdell and Ridley face multiple charges, including felony murder and aggravated assault, according to jail records. Ridley also faces charges of armed robbery, hijacking a motor vehicle and possessing a firearm during the commission of a crime.

They remain in the Clayton County Jail without bond.
