Surveillance video obtained by Channel 2 Action News on Thursday appears to show men using children during car break-ins in the Georgia Aquarium parking garage.
Atlanta police told the news station that two men were able to break into cars in the parking garage, steal cash and credit cards and go on a shopping spree at a nearby Sam’s Club.

With the Georgia Aquarium being a popular destination for families with children, the men may have used the boys — believed to be under the age of 10 — to blend in, police said.
The men have broken into at least 10 cars inside the parking deck since June 15 by busting windows or popping locks, according to authorities.
The thefts occurred from mid-afternoon into the evening hours, police said.
They’re accused of stealing credit and debit cards, passport and social security information, two guns, laptops, cellphones, other electronics and cash, Channel 2 reported.
The Georgia Aquarium sent the news station this statement:
“We take this matter and the safety of all our guests, staff, volunteers and animals very seriously. We have security cameras throughout our parking deck and a 24/7 security team to monitor our building, parking deck, and entrances and exits.”
Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
