Two men accused of punching a man, breaking his teeth and causing multiple facial fractures were arrested Thursday in Hall County, authorities said.

Bobby Jonathan Cardenas, 19, of Buford, and Michael Lacey Tatro, 29, of Talmo, face aggravated assault, aggravated battery and battery charges for the alleged attack, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

The two are accused of attacking the victim in the 3700 block of Reece Circle on Jan. 3, the release said.

After punching the victim several times, the sheriff’s office said they placed a hard object against the man’s throat and pressed down, resulting in strangulation and bruising on his neck and throat.

The men then allegedly kicked and stomped on the victim’s chest and legs, eventually dragging him across the ground and leaving him unconscious, the release said.

Alcohol is believed to have been a factor, the release said.

The victim was taken to an area hospital and received emergency medical treatment for his injuries. He has since been released from the hospital.

Cardenas was taken into custody at a home in the 5800 block of Laurel Lane in Buford, while Tatro was arrested at a residence in the 5200 block of Hog Mountain Road in Flowery Branch, the release said.

Both remain in the Hall County Jail without bond, according to jail records.
