Cobb County police arrested four Marietta people Wednesday in connection with a home invasion that left two injured.

According to police, Martin Barnes, 26, and Devito Young, 25, walked into a home about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday along the 300 block of Windy Hill Road and started fighting with someone.

“As a result of that confrontation, one person was shot and others were arrested,” Cobb police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce told Channel 2 Action News.

Young had injuries to his head and Barnes was shot in the back by another person inside the home, police said. They were treated at a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Barnes faces aggravated assault and weapons charges. Young faces a weapons charge.

Police did not say if those inside the home were injured and did not release their names. They believe those involved may have known each other, Channel 2 reported.

Crime scene investigators searched the home and nearby wooded areas, questioned several people and took evidence bags from the scene, the station reported. Drugs and guns were also found inside the home, police said.

Two others were also arrested and charged in connection with the incident. Travis Lawson, 37, was arrested on a weapons charge and Leshae Aldridge, 22, was arrested on theft and drug trafficking charges.
