Man with Gwinnett ties turns himself in, faces 23 charges related to break-ins

Shortly after Athens police announced a search for a 21-year-old believed to be responsible for nearly two dozen home and auto break-ins, he turned himself in.
Bryson Hamilton faces 23 charges in connection with burglaries, attempted burglaries and entering auto cases, Athens police spokesman Geof Gilland said Friday.
According to Gwinnett County Jail records, Hamilton has been arrested at least four times in that jurisdiction since August 2016. Most are also entering auto cases, online records show. His most recent arrest came in February in connection with a probation violation.

Most of the suspected break-ins in Athens occurred along the Hancock corridor near the University of Georgia campus, he said.
Hamilton typically takes electronics such as speakers, computers and video game consoles, but he’s also been known to take backpacks, clothing and shoes, according to police.
Gilland said police were able to link Hamilton to the string of thefts in late September using surveillance photos and videos.
Hamilton remained in the Clarke County jail Friday evening.
