An Atlanta man says a group attacked and robbed him in historic Fourth Ward Park.
"I am angry and I'm sad and you know it's just a really horrible thing to happen," he told Channel 2 Action News.
The man did not want to use his name because the attacker has not been caught.
He was walking on Garden Park Drive about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, when he saw two men at the playground.
When one of the men approached him and asked what time it was, a third man attacked him.
“The guy just kept pounding the gun on my head and I was just screaming and I was just like take everything I have just don't hurt me there's no reason to hurt me," he said.
The attackers stole the man’s bag, laptop and wallet.
Witness Cheryl Jewell said she was one of several people who heard the commotion.
“They were hitting and we yelled at them to get off of him that we were calling the police and they took off running,” Jewell told Channel 2.
At the hospital, the man needed staples to close a 5-inch gash on his head.
Police are still looking for the men who ran off after the attack.
