A Toccoa man was sentenced to 10 years in prison Monday after being convicted of two counts of child molestation, authorities said. However, his legal trouble isn’t over.
Isaac Joseph Sgro, 23, was initially charged with aggravated child molestation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office last July, but he entered a negotiated guilty plea in court Monday, District Attorney Lee Darragh told AJC.com.
He was found guilty of molesting a girl under the age of 16. The victim told a family member, who then reported the incidents to the sheriff’s office, AJC.com previously reported.
He was also arrested in Habersham County on charges of rape, aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, sexual battery and first-degree child cruelty.

He was accused of abusing the same child that he was convicted of molesting in Hall County, Cornelia police previously said. His case there is still pending, the Habersham County Clerk of Superior Court confirmed.
Jonathan Edward Lewicki, 31, was also arrested in connection with that case. He remains in the Habersham County Jail without bond on charges of child molestation, sexual battery, first-degree child cruelty and aggravated sexual battery, records show.

Sgro is being credited with time served since his arrest, and he will spend 25 years on probation following his time behind bars. He will also have to register as a sex offender.
