A 44-year-old man was killed and a woman was left in critical condition Sunday after an early-morning shooting outside a sports bar and a motorcycle clubhouse in southeast Atlanta.

Atlanta police received the call about shots being fired at about 2 a.m., Channel 2 Action News said. Police said Lloyd Swain Jr., of Fayetteville, was shot during a dispute and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died.

The shooting occurred in a parking lot between Striker’s Clubhouse and Driftwood Bar & Grill on Memorial Drive, Channel 2 reported.

“There was some sort of a dispute,” Atlanta police Capt. Michael O’Conner said. “We don’t know what the dispute was at this time.”

A woman was also shot and taken to Atlanta Medical Center, where she is in critical condition. There may have been a third victim as well, O’Conner said.

Homicide investigators are talking to witnesses to try and determine what the initial argument was about, Channel 2 said.
