A man was shot and killed early Sunday during an argument near Atlanta’s Peachtree-Pine homeless shelter.

Details about the shooting were scarce, but Atlanta police said the unidentified victim was involved in an “argument that escalated to gunfire” at about 1:40 a.m. He was shot several times in the torso and pronounced dead at the scene at 477 Peachtree St.

The investigation was ongoing. As of Sunday morning, no arrests had been made.

No further information was immediately available.
