A Forsyth County man is facing multiple charges in connection with a police chase from April.

Jay Bradley Sanders of Madison allegedly ran from police during a traffic stop April 7, according to a recently released grand jury indictment.

He allegedly had more than four grams of methamphetamine, a large enough quantity to be charged with intent to distribute, and he didn’t have a valid driver’s license at the time.

Sanders failed to stop when a deputy turned on his patrol car lights, the indictment states. The deputy called out for Sanders to stop, but he continued through a red light and hit another vehicle.

Sanders was captured almost immediately and charged with hit and run, reckless driving, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, tampering with evidence and driving on a suspended license. He also faces an obstruction charge.
