Police have arrested three people and are searching for two others after a man was forced into his trunk and kidnapped when he drove to Snellville to meet a woman, authorities said.

Snellville police said the man was robbed Jan. 31 after driving to meet the woman in the 1700 block of Inlet Place. When he arrived, he was approached by three men who forced him into the trunk of his car and took him to Rockdale County, police said in a news release.

He was dropped off in Rockdale unharmed, but the suspects drove away in his vehicle, authorities said. Over the next several weeks, investigators were able to identify several of the people involved, according to police.

Robert Hellams, 19, was arrested Feb. 21 and charged with armed robbery, kidnapping and aggravated assault, police said.

The Snellville man was also charged with three counts of violating his probation and one count of entering an automobile, Gwinnett County jail records show. He remains held without bond.

Two teenage girls who allegedly organized the robbery were also arrested and are being charged as adults, police said. Their names and ages were not released.

Authorities are asking the public for help locating two other suspects: 21-year-old Kenneth Harris and 17-year-old Devin Ryland. Both have outstanding warrants for armed robbery, aggravated assault and kidnapping, authorities said.
