A man could spend life in prison after a jury convicted him of raping a 15-year-old girl at a McDonough park, the Henry County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement.

Yvari Brown, 20, was found guilty Friday of rape and aggravated sodomy in the Oct. 30, 2016 sexual assault, Henry County district attorney’s spokeswoman Cheveda McCamy said in a release.

The victim testified in court that she was at Richard Craig Park when Brown arrived in his car with several friends.

Brown then took the girl to a tube slide then raped her, McCamy said. The victim told him to stop, but her covered her mouth with his hands, the girl testified. He also forced her to perform oral sex.

Brown will be sentenced July 30.
