Police in Florida are searching for a man who tried to lure several children into his car with the promise of Pokemon.

Altamonte Springs police said the latest incident happened Wednesday around 3:30 p.m. near the Hidden Springs condominiums on Jamestown Boulevard.

Investigators said the man told the children that there was a Pokemon from the cellphone game "Pokemon Go" in his car, and that they should get inside to capture it.

The children, who are middle schoolers, were walking to the Hidden Springs Complex, police said.

None of the children fell victim to the scheme. They screamed and that got the attention of an adult, police said.

A parent of one of the children described the suspect as a heavy set white man in his early 40s with a beard and long hair. He wore a blue work uniform and drove a blue Toyota Prius.

"You know, some kids are going to fall for it, so it’s definitely something that concerns us, because a lot of kids are using that app and that game," said Evelyn Estevez, with the Altamonte Springs Police Department.
