The Bartow County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Thursday in connection with a woman’s death near Cassville.
Tiburcio Santana, 39, was taken into custody on a murder charge for his alleged involvement in the killing of a 36-year-old woman at a residence in the Friendly Lane Mobile Home Park, Sheriff Clark Millsap said in a news release.
Authorities responded to the incident around 1 a.m. Thursday and found the victim “deceased in her home with multiple injuries,” according to Millsap.
Her body will be taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations Medical Examiner’s Office in order to determine the cause of death.
Her name is being withheld pending notification of her family.
