UPDATE: Daniel Casey Ward pleaded guilty to two felonies in September 2019 after taking upskirt photos of women at a Walmart in Villa Rica, according to court records.

He pleaded guilty to knowingly using a device to observe, record underneath or through an individual's clothing and stalking, Carroll County online court records show.

His sentence was not immediately available. He does not show up in the Georgia Department of Corrections' online database, meaning he did not serve any time in a state prison. He also is not registered as a sex offender in the GBI's online registry.

ORIGINAL STORY: A man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly took upskirt photos of multiple women at a Villa Rica Walmart, police said.

Daniel Casey Ward, 31, of Temple, is accused of placing his cellphone under women’s dresses and taking videos and photos on July 24, Villa Rica police said in a news release.

Ward has been charged with felony unlawful surveillance and stalking. He is in the Carroll County Jail in lieu of $6,500 bond, according to jail records.

A similar incident allegedly happened at a north Fulton County Walmart in May, leading to the arrest of James Barron, 27, of Ellijay. He was charged with felony surreptitious recording of intimate parts.

Villa Rica police investigators are asking any women who were at Walmart on July 24 to contact them at 678-840-1314. Authorities believe there is an additional unidentified victim.
