A man was arrested last month after being accused of firing shots at a car in Roswell during a road-rage incident, authorities said.

Alfred McKeithern, 36, of Franklin was arrested on felony charges following the March 10 incident, according to Fulton County Jail records. He’s accused of firing three shots at the other driver, according to Roswell police.

The incident took place on Ga. 400 near Holcomb Bridge Road when McKeithern’s vehicle got in front of the victim’s vehicle and forced him to pull off the side of the road, according to a police incident report obtained by AJC.com. McKeithern was in a white Bentley.

“The (Bentley) then apparently got in front of the victim’s vehicle, stopped and someone from inside that vehicle fired shots,” Officer Sean Thompson told Channel 2 Action News.

Three shell casings were found at the scene, and officers were able to track the suspect’s vehicle to Johns Creek, the report said. When Johns Creek police pulled over the vehicle, McKeithern and another man said the victim was actually the aggressor, according to another police report.

“They thought this other vehicle was following them from Lenox (Square) mall,” Thompson said.

However, police ended up charging McKeithern with aggravated assault and a firearm possession charge, jail records show. The other man in his vehicle was not charged.

The victim declined to speak to Channel 2 about the incident since McKeithern was released from jail on a $25,000 bond. The suspect's next court date is on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.
