A 38-year-old man accused of raping a 3-year-old girl has been arrested, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.
Following an investigation, the sheriff’s office obtained warrants for rape and aggravated child molestation on Thursday in the case against Fidel Guerrero, 38, of Talmo, sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Scott Ware said in a news release.
Investigators found the girl was raped twice last year, between Jan. 1 and mid-July.
“At the time of the assaults,” Ware said, “the victim was 3 and 4 years old.”
The girl and Guerrero were acquainted, according to the sheriff’s office.
Guerrero was booked in the Hall County Jail following Thursday’s arrest. Bond has not been set, Ware said.
