A man was arrested last week and charged with child molestation in an incident that took place in September, authorities confirmed.

Miguel Herlindo Cumplido Delgado, 48, of Cumming, was arrested on one count of child molestation, Forsyth County sheriff’s spokesman Cpl. Doug Rainwater said.

On Sept. 13, Delgado allegedly molested a girl while staying at a family friend’s house, Rainwater said. The age of the child was not provided.

The sheriff’s office learned about the allegation and warrants were issued for Delgado’s arrest after forensic interviews were conducted, Rainwater said.

No other information has been released.

Delgado was booked into the Forsyth County Jail without bond.
