At least 1 shot at East Point motel

Police are investigating a shooting Thursday morning at an East Point motel.

At least one person was shot at the Motel 6 on Virginia Avenue, according to East Point police. Another possible victim was believed to have left the scene before officers arrived about 4:40 a.m.

At least one person was shot Thursday morning at the Motel 6 on Virginia Avenue in East Point. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation.

Medical crews were called to treat the victim at the motel. The severity of that person’s injuries was unknown, East Point police Capt. Allyn Glover said Thursday afternoon.

“This is still an active investigation and no further information is available at this time,” he told AJC.com.

No information on a possible motive was released.
