A man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a LaGrange teenager was arrested Tuesday after spending seven months on the run, WTVM reported.

Police named Dontavious Morgan as a suspect three days after the December 23 shooting death of 18-year-old Niko Hurston.

Hurston was walking with two other people near the intersection of Troup and Jenkins streets when he was shot in the chest, police said previously.

Morgan was arrested at his Columbus home by the Muscogee County SWAT Team, the news station reported.

He is charged with one count of murder, three counts of aggravated assault, one count of firearm possession during the commission of a felony and violation of parole.

Morgan is being held at the Troup County Jail without bond.
