Homicide investigators are looking into two weekend shootings in Atlanta that left two people dead.

The first occurred Saturday in the 500 block of Baker Circle in northwest Atlanta. Atlanta police spokeswoman Officer Tasheena Brown said a man was pronounced dead on the scene. No other details were released.

About 2:45 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a second shooting, this time in the 2300 block of Beecher Road in southwest Atlanta.

Officers found an unresponsive man in a wooded area with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

No arrests have been made in either case.
