A 71-year-old woman was killed Tuesday during a crash involving a car and two commercial vehicles, the Georgia State Patrol said.

About 2 p.m., a Cadillac CTS was driving north on Rivertown Road near South Fulton Parkway, GSP officials said. At the same time, the two commercial vehicles were traveling side-by-side east on South Fulton Parkway.

“According to a witness and driver statements, the driver of the Cadillac failed to stop for the stop sign and entered the north lanes of South Fulton Parkway,” the GSP said. “Once in the north lanes, the Cadillac was struck on its driver’s side by both commercial vehicles.”

The victim, identified as Brenda M. Stiggers, died at the scene. Her 15-year-old female passenger was flown to Atlanta Medical Center in critical condition, GSP said.

The driver of one of the commercial vehicles was taken to Piedmont Hospital, Newnan, Chattahoochee Hills police Chief Stoney Mathis said.

No other details were released.
