Authorities are investigating after a juvenile was shot on Buford Highway on Thursday night, Brookhaven police Officer Carlos Nino confirmed.

It is not known where the juvenile was shot, but Nino said the wound did not appear life-threatening.

“Detectives have interviewed witnesses and are still gathering information,” he said.

The juvenile was taken to an Atlanta area hospital.

No other details were released.
