6-year-old boy shot in DeKalb has died

A 6-year-old DeKalb County boy who was shot during an altercation over a social media post has died, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Z’Mari Mitchell died Wednesday at the hospital from injuries suffered Saturday.

Officials are seeking 17-year-old Meshon Williams, who they say fired 31 shots during the incident in the 3500 block of Sweetgum Lane.

Williams allegedly fired at a house following a fight with the residents, police said. He is wanted on charges of aggravated assault and aggravated battery, according to police.
