A felon wanted in connection with an East Point homicide was arrested in Cobb County on Saturday morning.
Ronald Dewan White, 26, of Fairburn was arrested around 6 a.m. on several charges in Cobb, but he’s also accused of participating in the shooting death of a 24-year-old father of two in September 2018, Fulton County court records show.
White is one of three suspects accused of killing Terrick Matthews during a carjacking outside an apartment complex on Fox Hunt Lane, AJC.com previously reported.

White was arrested in the 1900 block of Cumberland Parkway in Cobb County, jail records show. AJC.com has requested the incident report tied to his arrest.
Matthews was asleep in the passenger seat of the car when the three suspects are accused of trying to break in. The commotion woke him up, and Matthews was shot once in the neck, killing him. Another man who was in the driver’s seat was unharmed.
Matthews was cooperating with the alleged robbers before he was shot, and it “wasn’t necessary for them to take his life,” East Point police spokeswoman Ebony Johnson said at the time. AJC.com has reached out to East Point police for an update on the investigation following White’s arrest.
Surveillance video at a nearby Exxon gas station on Cleveland Avenue in southwest Atlanta appears to show the suspects light the car on fire and leave it there. No one was injured as a result of the fire.

All three suspects face four counts of felony murder, one count of murder, two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one count of first-degree hijacking a motor vehicle, armed robbery, second-degree arson, tampering with evidence, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and criminal street gang activity, according to court records.
White and Ausbrooks also face two more counts of felony murder and two counts of firearm possession by a convicted felon.
White faces six charges in Cobb, which include felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, felony theft, misdemeanor theft, obstruction and two misdemeanor drug charges, jail records show.
He has another hold out of Fulton County for misdemeanor interference with government property and a hold out of DeKalb County. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office said it wouldn’t elaborate on the details of his warrant.
White, who has had three stints in prison, was most recently released July 17 of last year from Georgia Diagnostic and Classification State Prison in Butts County, according to Georgia Department of Corrections records. That was about seven weeks before Matthews’ homicide.
