Three teenage boys were shot Saturday after a large fight broke out during a Clayton County birthday party.
LPT Studios, located in the 2200 block of Lake Harbin Road, was hosting a Sweet 16 party, the center’s owner told Channel 2 Action News.
Several agencies, including Clayton County and Morrow police, responded to the report of gunshots.
They did not find any gunshot victims at the scene, Clayton County police spokesman Officer David Portis said. Three boys were later located at area hospitals, two with injuries to the leg and a third shot in the upper torso.
While the two shot in the leg are expected to be OK, the third boy’s condition remained unknown Monday afternoon.
Officers were told that a “very large physical altercation between multiple subjects” broke out during the event, Portis said. The fight moved outside to the parking lot, and one person started shooting.
“The shooter is believed to have fled the scene in a (black) Chevrolet Impala,” Portis said.
Police are still investigating, and they do not know if any adults were in charge. The cause of the fight is also unknown.
