Inmate who escaped work detail captured in Henry County

March 23, 2018The Georgia Department of Corrections captured an inmate who walked away from work detail Wednesday.
Stephen Delaney, 29, was on a supervised work detail at the Harris County Cemetery when he escaped, The Columbus Ledger- Enquirer reported. Delaney was an inmate at the Harris County Correctional Institution.

He was captured about 5:45 p.m. Thursday in McDonough, according to the department.
Delaney had been in the prison since December for on first-degree burglary and weapons charges out of Fulton County, according to the DoC’s website.
