DeKalb County police are searching for a home invasion suspect who kicked in a woman’s door Friday night before striking her in the head with a gun.
Officers were called to the Clarkston home in the 4000 block of Cimarron Drive about 9 p.m., DeKalb police spokesman Sgt. J.D. Spencer said.
The woman told police she was inside when a man armed with a handgun kicked in her door and demanded money.
He struck the woman in the head with the pistol before leaving the home, Spencer said. The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.
It’s unclear if the suspect and victim knew each other, police said. Anyone with information about the attempted robbery is asked to call DeKalb detectives.
