Gwinnett County police on Monday asked for the public’s help in getting a Buford man with an extensive criminal history off the streets.

Police are looking for Quinton “Big Quin” Wansley, 32, who they say shot two people Feb. 5 outside of 550 N. Gwinnett Street in Buford. One of the victims has died and the second victim is still recovering, Gwinnett police Cpl. Deon Washington said.

Surveillance video captured a portion of the shooting. The specifics of why the shooting happened are still under investigation, Washington said.

Wansley is wanted on charges of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Anyone with information on Wansley’s whereabouts is encouraged to call the criminal investigations division at 770 513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS.

Tipsters may remain anonymous and can receive up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
