A fire raced through a Gwinnett County apartment complex early Saturday, forcing 20 people from their homes, officials said.

No injuries were reported in the fire at the 3400 block of Sweetwater Road NW in unincorporated Duluth.

Authorities got the first call about the fire at 1:24 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they worked quickly to keep the fire from moving into the attic of the multi-family dwelling. Eight units damaged in the fire are uninhabitable, Gwinnett fire department officials said.

The cause of the fire was not immediately determined.

American Red Cross has provided assistance to the families displaced by the fire.
