A grandmother is accused of killing two of her grandchildren and then setting her home on fire, officials say.

Jacqueline Sanders, 54, killed her 6-year-old granddaughter Zakyria Sanders in her bed and set her home fire, killing herself and her grandson 7-year-old Jaylan Barr, Dougherty County District Attorney Greg Edwards told the Albany Herald.

The incident happened Wednesday along Doublegate Drive.

Another grandson, 10-year-old Isaiah Gates, was stabbed but survived, Edwards said. Gates was found stuffed in the trunk of a car and had been there for about 12 hours before authorities found him, the newspaper reported.

Sanders and Barr were found unresponsive near a back door, but later died at a hospital.
