Jason Thompson, a worker with the city of Temple, has been charged with rape and exploitation of a disabled adult.

A worker with the city of Temple has been charged with rape and exploitation of a disabled adult, authorities said.

Jason Thompson was booked Tuesday into the Carroll County jail, sheriff’s Capt. Jeff Richards said.

Thompson, a meter reader and water technician, was placed on paid administrative leave Wednesday, city administrator Bill Osborne said.

Few details have been released about the incident.
