Two felons are back behind bars after a fugitive arrest at a condominium near downtown Atlanta led to the seizure of a large amount of drugs, several stolen weapons and more than $21,000 in cash, authorities said.

Fulton County deputies searched the home last week while arresting Dedric Anton Brown, who was wanted on kidnapping and aggravated assault charges stemming from an incident in Union City early last month, according to officials.

Inside the condo, authorities discovered four ounces of cocaine, 14 ounces of marijuana, ecstasy and three stolen guns, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

The drugs had an estimated street value of about $16,000, authorities said.

A second man inside the home, Jarvaris Napoleon Brown, was also arrested on drug trafficking and weapons charges, jail records show. He had bench warrants from 2017 that were issued by Fulton County’s accountability court, according to the sheriff’s office.

It wasn’t immediately clear Wednesday whether Dedric Brown and Jarvaris Brown are related. Both men have been in and out of the Fulton County Jail since the early 2000s, records show.

Dedric Brown’s twin brother, Cedric, also faces kidnapping charges in connection with the June 4 incident in Union City, warrants show. He has been in jail since June 16 on two counts of kidnapping, aggravated assault, battery and parole violation charges.

According to a Union City incident report, the charges stem from an altercation that occurred in the leasing office of the Champions Glen apartment complex.

Officers responded to the apartments about 1:15 p.m. after two men reported that Dedric Brown barged into the office and claimed he was missing up to $70,000 and an AK-47 rifle following a break-in at his apartment.

Brown was allegedly armed with a handgun during the encounter, though he never pointed it at anyone, according to the report. He left the leasing office after reportedly telling the men, “One of you two got my money and AK and (are) going to pay for it.”

He was later questioned by officers outside his unit, but wasn’t arrested at the time, according to police. Brown also declined to file a report about the alleged break-in.

It’s unclear what Cedric Brown’s alleged role in the incident was.

Both Dedric Brown and Jarvaris Brown remain held at the Fulton County Jail without bond.

They are charged with cocaine trafficking, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. In addition, Dedric Brown faces two counts of kidnapping, three counts of terroristic threats and one count each of battery and assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the Union City incident.
