A former Forsyth County high school football coach was arrested after deputies say he spent months working from home distributing illegal pills purchased in India.
Jeffrey Measor was arrested April 21 after narcotics detectives confiscated more than 64,000 pills from his Cumming home, Channel 2 Action News reported.
The 39-year-old coached at Centennial High School from 2007 to 2011. He had a 24-28-0 record over five seasons.
Measor faces seven counts of possession of schedule II, IV and V drugs, said Deputy Doug Rainwater, a spokesman for Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
A seller in India packaged pain and anxiety pills that require a prescription in the United States and mailed them to New York, where a supplier would repackage and mail the drugs to Measor’s home, Rainwater told Channel 2.
Then, Measor would take the packages to UPS and send them off to address across the country.
This went on for the last six months, Rainwater said.
“He would take the pre-addressed label forms, put them on the packages, once he divided up the different pills for the different people,” Rainwater told Channel 2. “He would have a spreadsheet knowing exactly how many pills went to this person.”
Measor was unemployed except for his alleged illegal activity, which “paid quite well,” Rainwater said.
Investigators believe he sold the pills to about 230 people throughout the country, Rainwater told the news station.

The GBI recently warned of counterfeit pills, which often contain a dangerous, synthetic drug such as fentanyl, which is far more potent than morphine.
A tip led officials to investigate and, after his arrest, officials intercepted another 40,000 pills from India with Measor’s name on them, Rainwater said.
Measor was released May 11 on $82,520 bond, Rainwater said.
