Two men believed to be between 17 and 25 years old broke into a Dunwoody apartment home Wednesday morning, police said.

After a woman walked her children to the bus stop about 6:30 a.m., two men attacked her inside her Dunwoody Glen apartment, Dunwoody police spokesman Mark Stevens said.

Dunwoody Glen Apartments are located at 6750 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.

“The two subjects punched her in the face, struck her in the head with a handgun and tackled her all while demanding money from her,” Stevens said.

She got away from her attackers, who then took a large safe with valuables and climbed back out the unlocked window they entered through.

The first suspect is described about 6 feet tall, thin and carried a small, black gun. The second man was shorter, between 5 feet 3 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall. He weighed about 160 pounds and had some beard facial hair. The second suspect carried a small knife and metal pipe, Stevens said.
