Duluth woman dies in motorcycle crash at Alabama race track

A Georgia woman died Saturday after her motorcycle crashed at a race track in Alabama, the Associated Press reported

Mackenzie Podo, 23, who AL.com reported is from Duluth, was pronounced dead at the University of Alabama at Birmingham hospital. 

Authorities said she lost control of her motorcycle during a riding event at Barber Motorsports Park about 10:30 a.m., the newspaper reported. She was described as an avid rider at the race track.

No other details were released.
