Authorities are investigating after a body was found inside a burned vehicle in East Point Wednesday morning.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed to AJC.com investigators were called to the scene in the 2200 block of Connally Court to recover the body.

A neighbor sent Channel 2 Action News video of the four-door sedan in flames just before 4 a.m.

The charred vehicle was towed from the scene about 5:20 a.m., the news station reported.

East Point police told Channel 2 there is an active fire investigation at the scene but would not comment further on the found remains.
