Police are seeking a suspect in the shooting of two brothers in DeKalb County Sunday afternoon.

Bryant Phillips, 22, was killed and his brother was injured in the shooting in the 3100 block of Robin Road. Neighbors called 911 to report hearing several shots fired in the area. Police found the two men lying in the street. The brothers were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where Bryant Phillips later died. DeKalb police spokeswoman Mekka Parish said detectives would not release the name of the surviving brother since the suspect is still at large.

Detectives believe a dispute prompted the shooting, Parish told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “They had gone to the location with a friend to meet the suspect. The suspect and the brothers’ friend were involved in a dispute over property… the dispute escalated into shots being fired.”

Detectives also would not disclose the “personal property” the men were arguing about, Parish said.
