Police are investigating a pair of unrelated overnight DeKalb County shootings, including one that ended in a man’s death.

The first was reported around 9:45 p.m. at the 2700 block of Evans Mill Road near Lithonia.

A 24-year-old man was found in the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds, DeKalb County Police spokesman Capt. Steven Fore said.

The man was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he died from his injuries, Fore said.

No suspect has been located, police said.

Police are not identifying the victim because his next of kin have not been notified.

A second shooting was reported early Friday morning inside an apartment building at the Devon Place Apartments near Farrington Way and Panola Road.

One person was shot and taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Channel 2 Police is reporting.

Early Friday morning, DeKalb County Police were questioning witnesses about the shooting.

Late Thursday evening police responded to reports of gunfire at building No. 27 of the apartment complex.

No suspect has been identified, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
